What I Offer
Personalised, in-person GCSE Science tutoring across Mid Devon — tailored to each student's needs, pace, and exam board. Students often commence their GCSE Science journey at school in Year 9, thus I am available for students in Years 9-11.
Subjects covered
All three separate sciences and Combined Science awards are covered.
I ensure that my students understand the exam structure and how the exam board assessment objectives are applied.
How sessions work
In-person only
All sessions take place face-to-face, either at your home or a mutually convenient location in Mid Devon. I find in-person tutoring far more effective — it's easier to spot confusion, draw diagrams, and keep students engaged.
One-to-one sessions
Every session is just Helena and your child. No distractions, no waiting for others to catch up — just focused, personalised teaching.
Flexible scheduling
Sessions are typically one hour, and I work around school timetables and family commitments. Weekday evenings and weekends are available.
Mid Devon area
I cover Tiverton, Cullompton, Bampton, Dulverton and the surrounding villages. Not sure if you're in range? Just ask — I'm happy to check.
Exam boards
I'm experienced with AQA, OCR and Edexcel GCSE Science specifications. If you're not sure which board your child's school uses, I can help you find out.
